Workshop in Angermünde - 2009-03-25

International project "Protection of Emys orbicularis and amphibians in the North European lowlands" partners seminar “Conservation of Emys orbicularis Relict Populations on the Northern Border of the distribution area - experiences and perspectives” was held 21 – 22 of April 2009 in Angermünde (Germany/Brandenburg), NABU Information Centre “Blumberger Mühle”.

During the seminar were presented the results of the previous project work as well as the endangering and protective measures. Partners for the protection of the European Pond Turtle populations in Europe or on the northern border - e.g., from Poland and Lithuania were presented as well. Besides the exchange of experience between the scientists, project partners and official employees, the conference was also serve to support the regional initiatives of the project in Brandenburg.
